Pemberton Construction Project
School District 48 Sea to Sky is partnering with local contractors to build a home. The SD48 Pemberton Construction Project is an innovative and interdisciplinary opportunity for students to engage in authentic, purposeful and real-life learning through the construction of a home on district owned property.
Students will be meaningfully engaged in the processes of construction, finishing, landscaping, and potential sale of a home; students will be working directly with trades people, educators, and other community members.
A teacher will work directly with students and builders to provide additional educational programming that supports their learning in the classroom through a variety of educational pathways. SD 48 has an allocated budget of $775,600 for this project.
